Hex Commander: Fantasy Heroes is a turn-based strategy game that immerses players in a thrilling war between Humans, Orcs, Goblins, Elves, Dwarves, and the undead. With a focus on strategic decision-making, players must build a formidable army and lead their troops to victory, utilizing the distinctive skills of their heroes and units. Terrain and buildings can be strategically employed to boost statistics and outmaneuver enemies in single-player, skirmish, and multiplayer PvP modes.

In the Human campaign, players take on the role of Percival Kent, a seasoned paladin tasked with investigating Goblin activity in a Human settlement. The Elven campaign introduces Arcaena, leader of the Elven archers, as players embark on a quest to find Sylvius, a wise druid capable of harnessing the forces of nature. However, they will encounter a formidable goblin mage and his allies along the way.
In the Orcs and Goblins campaign, players have the unique opportunity to control a mighty dragon and their cunning goblin companion Vulpis. These heroes must uncover the source of unnatural floods that have displaced their people while also facing off against a powerful Orc warrior.
The final chapter transports players to the Dwarven kingdom, where they will confront new enemies previously unseen. With three additional playable heroes each possessing their own unique abilities, players will engage in epic battles to halt the spread of evil forces across the world.
To gain a tactical advantage, magic becomes an essential tool. Players can utilize scrolls to turn the tide of battle swiftly. From summoning undead creatures and powerful golems to casting devastating spells like rain of fire or toxic clouds, players can awaken their opponents' fury or unleash destruction upon them.
Each campaign provides players with a castle that can be expanded and upgraded to suit their preferred fighting style. Heroes and units can be improved and upgraded, and teleports can be enhanced to gain an edge on the battlefield.
In addition to the engaging single-player mode, players can test their skills in challenging PvP multiplayer matches. With three exciting modes, including Battle, Capture the Flag, and Royale, players can showcase their strategic prowess against other competitors.
